Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and Eligibility
By downloading, accessing, or using GoLightWeight, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and meet any minimum age required where you live.
2. Service and Accounts
GoLightWeight is a personal workout-tracking service. You may use it as a guest or sign in with Apple or Google. Community is available only to eligible signed-in accounts when enabled for the release, without a production allowlist. The service may display public Community posts with your username, text, publication time, edited status, and completed-workout card fields you choose to publish. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, for activity under your account, and for keeping your device and account credentials secure.
3. Free and Pro Features
The Free version may show third-party ads. An active Pro subscription removes in-app ads and unlocks the paid features described in the app, which may include enhanced workout tools and automatic cloud sync. Features can vary by app version, device, or region.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Before purchase, the store displays the localized subscription price, billing period, and applicable offer terms. Billing is handled by the store you installed from — Apple through your App Store account on iOS, or Google through Google Play on Android. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the store may charge the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends.
5. Cancellation, Refunds, and Account Deletion
You can manage or cancel a subscription in the store you installed from — your App Store account on iOS, or Google Play on Android. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not itself provide a refund; refund eligibility and decisions are handled separately by that store. Deleting your GoLightWeight account does not cancel a subscription, and canceling the subscription does not delete your GoLightWeight account.
6. User Data and Cloud Sync
Guest workout data stays local to the device. Signing in triggers an initial backup to or restore from Supabase, signed-in users can sync manually, and verified Pro access enables periodic automatic sync. You are responsible for maintaining any copies of data you need, and sync availability is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted.
7. Acceptable Use
You may use the service only lawfully and for its intended personal workout-tracking purpose. You must not interfere with the service, bypass access or subscription controls, probe or disrupt security, introduce harmful code, misuse another person's account, or use the service in a way that violates others' rights. Community posts must follow the Community Guidelines; you may report content, hide it from your own views, or block an account, and must not evade those controls.
8. Health Disclaimer
GoLightWeight does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or individualized medical or fitness advice. Exercise carries risks. Consult a qualified professional when appropriate, stop if you feel unwell, and use the app and exercise at your own risk.
9. Intellectual Property
GoLightWeight and its software, branding, design, and service content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership.
10. Availability and Changes
We may maintain, update, add, remove, or change service features, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We do not promise that every feature will remain available on every device, platform, or location.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Rights that cannot legally be disclaimed remain unaffected.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or opportunities arising from the service. Liability that cannot legally be limited remains unaffected.
13. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may apply synchronous moderation before publishing a Community post and may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for a material breach of these Terms, unlawful or harmful conduct, security protection, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, or operational changes and will revise the date above. If a change is material, we will provide notice as required by law. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law.
